Privacy Policy

Thai Doc AI Interpreter ("we", "us", or "the app") helps travellers and expats in Thailand understand official documents through AI-powered contextual translation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control your data.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — email, display name, and avatar from your sign-in provider (Google or email).
• Usage data — number of scans performed and lifetime-access status, used to enforce the free quota.
• Document images — sent to our AI provider for analysis. We do not permanently store the images on our servers.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we receive only a transaction confirmation and your unlock status.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to deliver translations, enforce the free trial limit, grant lifetime access after a successful payment, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, ever.

3. Sub-processors

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Google Cloud (Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) — document analysis.
• Stripe — payment processing and tax compliance.
• Lovable — application hosting and edge functions.

4. Retention

Account and usage records are kept for as long as your account exists. Document images are transmitted to the AI provider for processing and are not retained by us afterwards. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@thaidocdecoder.com. EU, UK, and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, which we honour.

6. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Authentication is handled by Supabase. Payment data never touches our servers — it is processed directly by Stripe.

7. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
